She's a fabulous North Carolinian blogging about politics, LGBT and women's rights, the influence of the far Right, and race relations. What more can I say? |
Super. Mind if I borrow it? I'd love to look over the rest of it, too.
Wish I could be there for your presentation.
I saw another post this morning talking about the unanimity of "experts" that gay men, lesbians & bisexuals suffer from health disparities. It started me on a rant - where are the health similarities? the health superiorities even, in the research literature?
No doubt there are some adverse health disparities, but is pity our best starting point to strategize from?
Why can't we look at the things we do really well & ask how to export those to the wider str8 world?
Why can't we look at the deleterious impact of societal homophobia on str8 people?
Don't get me stahhted.
Yes please use the ideas as you wish! I'm about to post another slide that I think you might find useful in regards to your comments about disparities / etc.
